Students are expected to attend their lessons on a regular basis.
Students should be on time, ready with their equipment, prepared to learn, and engage with the lesson material.
Lessons will not be extended to make up for late students.
If you will be absent for a lesson, you will be responsible for contacting your teacher via phone or email.
Expected absences require a minimum of 24 hours advance notice. If proper notice is given (an excused absence), a make-up lesson can be arranged at a mutually agreeable time, either virtually or in-person. If proper notice is not given (unexcused absence), teachers are not required to make-up the missed lesson.
Advance notice is required if you plan to miss more than 2 consecutive lessons (time-off requests).
Students who frequently cancel their lesson times will not receive make-up lessons.
If the instructor is unable to teach due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances then a make-up lesson either in-person or online will be rescheduled.
the student has the option to take a lesson with a different instructor (pending availability) or reschedule for another day/time. Substitute instructors are provided through the instructor’s own network of musicians.
Make-up lessons are subject to instructor availability and MUST be completed within the same quarter (remaining lessons will be forfeited). Make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled for a second time.
